Technology at Jones PC
Jones PC takes a multifaceted approach to technology. We use a three-pronged approach:
1) Explicit technology instruction
2) Integrated technology instruction
3) Supplemental Curriculum Support.
Explicit instruction is taught to clearly demonstrate how to use technology. Teaching basic operations, word processing skills, presentation tools, ethical use, and online research.
Technology use and skills are also taught integrated into the curriculum. Students have access to books online, online student directed assessments, and multimedia access for presentations.
In order to support the core curriculum, we are utilizing specific programs that target student skill needs. Amplify Read is our adaptive reading software that helps students practice reading skills. ST Math is our math software that allows students to practice problems solving skills without any written or oral language. Both programs can be practiced at home with the students access code.
